When you have deleted both those files then you install the game. Both of those 'American Truck Simulator' files need to be deleted. Part 2 is on your C drive - Program Files (x86) - Steam - steamapps - common - 'American Truck Simulator'.
Part 1 is in Documents 'American Truck Simulator'. If that does not work then you will need to delete the game altogether, there are 2 parts to the game. It should load the game and continue where you left off. Then select continue and when you get to the save games select the last save game and ignore any warning of missing mods. When it is installed start the game again, if it launches when you get to the game launch pad, if you have mods which were in your ATS mod folder go into your mod manager and remove those from the game. When that is complete install the game again. Right click on ATS in your steam library and select delete local content. If you do not have mods in your ATS mod folder or have removed them from the folder. If that does not work then you will need to do the following: That will check your game for errors and fix them if it finds any. Then verify the game cache - right click on ATS in your steam library - local files - verify integrity of game cache. Make sure you have the latest update for your graphics driver and latest updates for windows. Do you have mods? If you have mods from mod sites in your ATS mod folder remove them.
